Youth

At 11‑a‑side, our young players enter the youth section of the club, ready for competitive football and the next big step in their development

what to expect

By the time players reach 11‑a‑side, they’ve stepped into the youth section of the EKRR pathway and into full SYFA competition. This is where football becomes real — points, trophies, league tables, and earning a place in the starting lineup. Healthy competition is part of the journey, and we fully support it. Every child is given the chance to show their skills, prove themselves, and grow into their position

At this level, players also begin to deal with referees, match discipline, and the reality of red and yellow cards. When these moments happen, our coaches guide players to understand what they could have done differently, helping them learn from the experience and build maturity on the pitch

During this stage:

  • We tailor training to suit each player’s position and role

  • We continue using game‑based scenarios, tactics boards and live demos to build understanding

  • We ensure fitness levels support maximum performance

  • We use premium coaching content to sharpen skills, awareness and decision‑making

  • We recognise the physical and emotional changes that come with adolescence and support players with patience, structure and positive reinforcement

This is a period of big growth — physically, mentally, and tactically. Our coaches are trained to guide players through it with balance, discipline and encouragement

By the end of this stage, players are fully prepared for competitive 11‑a‑side football as they move into high school, ready to take on the next chapter of their footballing journey
