EKRR FC
Spectators’ & Supporters’ Code of Conduct
EKRR FC welcomes spectators and supporters to all of its fixtures across EKRR AFC, EKRR Youth and EKRR Over 35, and values the encouragement you bring. Amateur football is played for enjoyment by volunteers and players who give up their own time. We ask everyone watching an EKRR FC fixture to follow this code.
When supporting EKRR FC, please:
• Be positive and supportive — encourage and applaud, rather than criticise.
• Respect the decisions of the match officials at all times, even when you disagree.
• Show respect to players, coaches, opponents, opposing supporters and other spectators.
• Never use offensive, insulting, abusive or discriminatory language, gestures or behaviour.
• Never engage in or encourage threatening, intimidating or violent behaviour.
• Reject discrimination of any kind, and challenge or report it where it is safe to do so.
• Remember the players are playing for enjoyment — your behaviour affects their experience.
• Leave the coaching to the coaches and the officiating to the match officials.
• Stay off the field of play and behind any barriers or designated spectator areas.
• Follow any ground regulations and behave responsibly with regard to alcohol.
• Represent EKRR FC positively, including on social media and online.
At Youth Section fixtures, please also:
• Remember these are children playing — cheer effort as well as results.
• Encourage from the touchline; do not shout instructions or criticism at the players.
• Model the behaviour you want the children to show.
The Club may ask any spectator who breaches this code to leave, and reserves the right to report serious incidents to the relevant governing body, the league or the police.
Let the players PLAY, let the coaches COACH,
let the officials OFFICIATE, and let the supporters be POSITIVE.
